Are "No Worries" candles organic?

At our first Farmer’s Market I was asked a question that I wasn’t prepared for- Are your candles organic?  Of course I’m familiar with the word “organic”, but I had no idea what makes a candle organic.  After a little research this is what I found out- To label something “organic” there is no certification or standards required.  So, while I can say with confidence that our candles are “organic”, I thought it might be helpful to do a deeper dive into a “No Worries” candle.

We use fragrance oil with the Clean Scents™ designation.  This means our fragrance oils contain:

  • NO Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer.
  • NO Phthalates: In addition to their status as endocrine disruptors, phthalates are linked to increased risk of breast cancer, fertility issues, and other health problems.
  • NO Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer.
  • NO Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects.
  • NO Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs.
  • NO Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion.
  • NO ingredients found on California’s Proposition 65 list.

The wax that we use is USA made Coconut Soy EC26. This wax blend utilizes only FDA-approved waxes.

Our wax contains:

  • NO Gluten
  • NO Toxins
  • NO Paraben
  • NO Phthalate

No Worries!
